Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter for WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a morning news anchor on WCBD TV and acted as a crime reporter. The stories she reported in Charleston concerning the lack of leniency by police when it comes to DUI cases prompted a State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter. This led to state authorities issuing more strict guidelines in these cases.
